Dopamine Jailbreak for iOS 15.0 – 15.4.1

Information about the newest jailbreak for A12+ devices and installation guide

Developer Lars Fröder, a.k.a. opa334, has released their new “Dopamine” (formerly “Fugu15 Max”) jailbreak for Apple devices” based on the Fugu15 exploit by Linus Henze. Dopamine is compatible with any A12-A15 / M1 Apple device running an iOS / iPadOS version between 15.0 and 15.4.1 and can be installed concurrently with Xina (another iOS 15 jailbreak only comptaible with versions below 15.1).

Dopamine is powered by ElleKit and comes with the choice of Sileo and Zebra as your package manager.

Installing Dopamine is very easy! First, you’ll have to visit https://api.jailbreaks.app/troll64e to install TrollStore. Tap the Install button when prompted and you will see a “GTA Car Tracker” app. Open the app and tap the “Install TrollStore” at the top. Your device should respring (soft reboot where you see a coil logo for a few seconds). You’ll then see that TrollStore has installed itself on your device!

Although not strictly necessary, you should register a TrollStore persistence helper to avoid potential issues in the future – pick a system app you don’t use, although if none meet this criteria, you can also use the aforementioned GTA Car Tracker app instead. If you opted to use a system app (such as Tips, HomeKit, News, or Podcasts) you can delete GTA Car Tracker as you won’t be needing it again.

Once TrollStore is installed, visit https://ellekit.space/dopamine and tap the “Open in TrollStore” button. You’ll find Dopamine on your homescreen after you finish installing it. Tap the “Jailbreak” button at the bottom and you’re done!

Also not necessary, but I strongly advise you make a backup of your device via iTunes if possible and reboot before attempting to jailbreak.

You may encounter an error where Dopamine crashes halfway while jailbreaking – in this case, restart your device and try again. Turning off tweak injection may help if you are still having trouble getting the initial jailbreak to work. You will need to turn it on again afterwards to use any installed tweaks. You may also find that your device’s screen is pitch black after the Apple logo but responds normally with haptics – this is a somewhat rare problem where the only solution is to turn off your device again. If you are unable to guess the slider position to shut down the device, you can also force reboot by quickly pressing VolumeUp, then VolumeDown, then holding the power button until the Apple logo appears again.

If you have the choice between Xina and Dopamine, I suggest using the latter as it fixes the Wi-Fi bug problem prevalent in older builds of Fugu15. Only one of the two can be active at any time, but it is possible to switch on a whim. Xina tweaks are incompatible with Dopamine; however, developers Paisseon & Sudo have released Xinamine which allows tweaks to be used interchangeably. You can get it on Passieon’s repository. If you are having trouble installing tweaks, make sure they are both supported on iOS 15 and rootless – unlike older jailbreaks, Dopamine cannot access the root directory of your device and thus is incompatible with rootful tweaks.
